Currently have 2 Stand Alone Tivo's & I'm anxiously awaiting the series 3. Between now and then I would really love to get an HD-DVR for my OTA HD shows. I've search high and low and wanted to see what suggestions y'all might have. I have a Toshiba TV and the Symbio is an option - it uses the TV tuner.

At this point, your best bet is to try out a home theater PC option like Windows Media Center or Snapstream's BeyondTV, which can both record OTA HD signals.

If you have the Toshiba TV, the Symbio may be the simplest. There are also a couple of Sony HD DVRs out there, they've been discontinued but are still available. And there were other ATSC DVRs that you might still be able to get. But with the high cost, I don't know that it is worth it for half a year or so.
