What's the best option for connecting a series 2 my Airport Network?

TiVo has a lot of great documentation on this. First off, be sure to buy a USB wireless adapter from their approved list:

If your wireless network is open and free of password or MAC-address control, plugging in the adapter and rebooting your TiVo should put it right on the network. If you've got some security going, follow TiVo's guide to inputting passwords should have all the answers:

There are a couple of short URLs that are easier to remember:

I just put my Series 2 on my Airport network with a D-Link DWL-122. It was easy as pie. The DWL is just $39.99 and is pocket size-- i just plugged it into the TiVo's USB port, upgraded the firmware (the TiVo walks you through this) and it was good to go.

I wasn't able to quickly figure out if the TiVo was compatible with WPA, so I switched my network security to WEP. Note that when you are asked to enter your network password, you MUST ENTER THE HEXADECIMAL VERSION OF YOUR PASSWORD. How to find that is shown here:

hooking up to wireless is the best! you can ditch the phone line. play mp3s, play image slideshows, and schedule recordings from the web. i use a linksys wusb111 adapter which works fantastic, truly plug and play.

WiFi surely can be PnP -- but you should make sure it isn't! TiVo (very stupidly) does not yet support WPA, so be sure to enable WEP on your network and configure it properly. It make take 30 minutes out of your Sunday morning... but it's better than having guys like me sitting out in the street with our laptops, stealing your broadband and personal financial info. ;)

Has anyone had success using an 802.11g adapter with the Tivo? Thanks!
