I'm looking to publish video via the internet to peoples' TVs. Akimbo has a process for doing this as does dave.tv. Does anyone know of how to publish video over the internet that Tivo users can download and subscribe to, or if there are other internet connected set tops ?

TiVo did lead on earlier this year that they wanted to allow for internet video download on TiVos, but they might have been speaking only about the upcoming Netflix deal, which technically would be downloading movies over your internet connection.

I forgot to also mention there are some hacks to do what is called "broadcatching," to combine RSS and Bittorrent to pull down large files:

...but since TiVos aren't known for being able to play all sorts of video, I'm not sure what format they'd want, and how best to hack in broadcatching support.

TiVo's are technologically capable of doing this - it'd basically be 'Multi-Room Viewing' or TiVoToGo over the net. And they're already working on downloadable movies with Netflix.
So you may want to contact TiVo and see if you can establish a business relationship with them to provide this service to their subscribers.
There is also ReplayTV - though their subscriber base is MUCH smaller than TiVo's.
